    Hello,

I have accidentally made a new league when i signed up. However i just wanted to join a league with my mates. It says i owe $10, but i only want to be in one league and pay the $5, as the one i created has no-one in it.

Is there any way i can fix this?

I created the league \Cobras comp\ but i no longer want it. Could you help me at all?

    Thank you.

We will sort that out for you immediately!

Keep in mind that you can create any number of Club, Leagues and Competitions and don’t need to pay anything until after the season has started (typically after round 4). Costs are linked to the Clubs – Leagues/Competitions attract no cost and deleting Clubs will remove any associated costs. This lets you experiment without racking up any costs.

    Having trouble logging in.

Couldn’t remember password, so used the reset option. Get the email with the new password, but they don’t seem to work when I put them in.

  3. My partner and I would like a cost estimate for a Fantasy Soccer site for Brasil’s Brasileirao Serie A (also interested in serie B) with Brazilian Portuguese accessibility. Please email me at your earliest convenience with a can/can’t-do, a rough estimate of cost and project duration, and any more information you need from me for a more reliable estimate.

    Thank you,
    Geoff

I created a league and competition just to muck around with and have a look. Just about ready to start up a proper league. How do I delete these existing ones?

  5. Jarrett says:

Just like the other posts, just need to delete a league if possible?

    • ben says:

      Hey Jarret,

We don’t have a function to delete leagues – no particular reason, it was just not a priority.

The intention is that you would roll over your league to the next year – just tweak any of the settings you don’t want. If you want a new one, just create a new and leave the old one in place. You only pay per Club so providing your old league has not clubs (ie. you delete any existing clubs), you won’t get charged anything.

That said – if you really want to clean up an old league – just let me know and I will be happy to manually delete for you.

      Cheers

      Ben

  6. Hi,

I just wanted to enquire whether it is possible in custom leagues to edit players positions prior to the draft?

Also is it possible to add certain stats for example (Inside 50s and Rebounds?)

    Michael

    • ben says:

      Michael,

We don’t get Inside 50′s or Rebounds from our stats supplier unfortunately.

Yes, you can certainly edit the field positions prior to the draft. You can also customise which players are assigned to which Positions – it will need some work on your end to assign each player to his group but you can do it.

Just let me know if you need any help.

      Cheers

      Ben

        Hey Ben.
Just wondering if you have a list of the stats you can pull as we are looking at a few new positions this year too – I personally like the Hard Nut (Tackles/1%ers/clearances/FA)!

        • ben says:

          Hey Kent,

The stats from our provider only come in goals, behinds, kicks, handballs, marks, tackles, hitouts, nogame, freesfor, freesagainst. I like the idea of the “Hard Nut” position though!

          Cheers

          Ben

Hi, I have two comps at the moment IMCC and IMCC Footy would like to delete IMCC any way to do this.

    • ben says:

At the moment we don’t have a function to delete Competitions (no particular reason, just a factor of priorities). If you like I can delete it for you.

      Cheers

Is there a forum on here where I can look for a league to join as my work league has no interest and I’m very keen to join a competitive league.

  9. Rob says:

    Hi Ben,

Just wondering if there is a way to do the draft offline? We currently have a draft night where we all get together to run the draft (it’s one of the best nights of the year!). Can I then come back in and fill in the squads for each of the teams that have been created? Or is there only an online draft ran through the website?

    Thanks,
    Rob

    • ben says:

      Hey Rob,

You can defiantly run an offline draft (that’s what we do for the Comp I Coach in and agree, its a great night!).

You have a couple of options for your offline draft.

      1. Just run the draft and enter your teams manually the next day.
      2. Let each coach enter their own team the next day – you will need to check to make sure no-one cheats.
      3. You use the Draft Management Console the fill in the draft results as you go (assuming you have an internet connection and computer handy).

To use the Draft Management Console, just go to the “Profile” page and click the edit icon next to your Competition. On the left menu you will see a “Manage Draft” link – click on it. You can also find the “Manage Draft” link on the “My Squad” page if you are a Competition Manager.

If you choose option 1, the Draft Management Console is also a quick way to enter all the squads after the draft.

Hi! I’m in the same boat as John. Created an account but just wanted to join a mates league, not make one of my own. Could you please delete the existing league. Cheers

    • ben says:

      John,

Looks like we need to add a “Delete League” option. We will do so soon.

In the meantime, just delete any Clubs you don’t want – you only pay for Clubs, not Leagues so providing you have deleted all the redundant Clubs there is no cost impact.

      Cheers

      Ben

  11. Pete says:

Ben, we’ve completed our draft but now both the iPhone app and the Coaches Box facility are saying “no computer coach initialised for this league” – can you help?

  12. Pete says:

    Thanks Ben!

Also, can you fix the issue of the banter being able to be seen between different comps? What is happening is that anything I post in the banter section can be seen across all members from my (four) different comps – obviously it’s an issue because the comments and banter are only relevant to the comp I’m responding to, so it gets annoying for others (not to mention slightly weird) when they see my comments pop up from another comp.

I’d rather my fellow coaches not think I’ve gone insane just yet.

  13. ben says:

    Hey Pete,

I have looked into this but can seem to replicate the issue.

The Banter will always be specific to you. What you see in your banter feed is tied to your user ID. If you have a Club, (call it X, in competition Y) active and post banter, all users in Competition Y will be able to see it but no other users. At the same time you will also be able to see banter from all the coaches of all the other Competitions you belong to.

Are you suggesting that when you post banter while you have your Club X (bad name) active – some other user who logs in separately and does not have a Club in Y, can see your Banter?

  14. Pete says:

Yeah, the issue is I’m in 4 different comps. If I am posting banter for Competition 1, the guys in Competition 2 can see it, but obviously no one else’s banter from Competition 1.

Basically everything I post in the banter section can be seen by anyone in a league I’m involved in. Really frustrating.

The simple solution would be to only see banter/drafted players etc for the competition you are currently in. Makes it so much easier to understand what’s going on. Currently I can see the banter section update whenever someone in my four competitions drafts a player, so it’s hard to keep track of the drafting when they’re all merged together.

  15. Rob says:

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately when I click on the Manage Draft section I get an XML error:

XML Parsing Error: no element found
    Location: http://www.thebench.com.au/managedraft.xhtml?competitionId=826
    Line Number 1, Column 1:

    Any idea what’s causing that?

    Cheers,
    Rob.

    • ben says:

      Hey Rob,

You have me stumped with this one. I can hit this page OK and it seems to work – though it appears you only have one Club in this comp, does that sound right?

      Ben

  16. Nick says:

I am unable to change my team at all. It hasn’t at all this year. What can I do?

  17. Hey Ben,

Im having trouble editing my team. It is saying I have an outstanding payment.

I believe our league have paid and its the league I couldnt delete prior to the year which is causing this problem.

Are you able to fix this?

PS . Great iPhone app by the way

    Kind Regards,

    Michael

  18. Crisis seems over,

    Cheers,

    Michael
